Delicious Past…

Nothing beats biting into a delicious Burger with all the fixins’. From Vegan, Veggie, Bean, Turkey, Chicken, Salmon, Beef, Mushroom, to the all famous Cheeseburger, we have all the recipes you need to cook the burger you want. I have eaten a lot of burgers in my time: In & Out, Five Guys, Chili’s, Red Robin, Burger King, Carl’s Jr., Nations, Ruby Tuesday, Cheesecake Factory, Buffalo Wild Wings, Applebees, Fuddruckers, Reubens, and yes, even McDonalds. But none can compare to a home cooked charcoal grilled Hamburger that you have customized just how you like to eat it. Delicious eating, right?

In-N-Out Double Double Animal Style

No, drug I did not eat all of these burgers…I mean I could have and certainly wanted to but I split the box with my DH and it was delicious. I love love love In-N-Out. It is usually one of our first stops off the plane when we go home for a visit. You see those thick slice of cheese? The Animal Style spread in between the juicy hamburger patties? You see it? You want to eat it? I know I do! But being 4, stomach 000 miles away can get a bit expensive to just go get a burger every time I want one. The next best solution is to cook one up myself and I think I have done a pretty good job, who can say that they had the best copycat In-N-Out Double Double Animal Style in Costa Rica?

Double Double Animal Style

What is it about biting into a juicy, cheesy burger that gets me all warm and tingly inside? I don’t know but I get the same feeling every time we go home and drive by In-N-Out. Man, I love me a double double animal style no pickles with a strawberry shake. Unfortunately, I live about 3,500 miles away from home so I don’t have the option to pick up a quick lunch from In-N-Out. The next best thing, of course, is to cook a double double animal style no pickles at home. So that is just what I did!

Delicious Rating: Let me start off by saying that any burger home cooked has and will always be my preference. I just don’t cook meat that often at home let alone ground beef. But this burger, this “trying to make an animal style double double at home” cheeseburger is amazing. Like seriously, easy recipe and delicious eats. It isn’t a perfect copycat of In-N-Out though. The bun is not the same and my patties were thicker than In-N-Out’s. Other than that though I wouldn’t change a thing.  The spread is dead on and the cheese is so ooey gooey…this is what love is:

Nation’s Bacon Cheeseburger

If you have never ventured into the San Francisco Bay Area then you have never feasted on the best Bacon Cheeseburger of your life. Yes, Nation’s, The Original Giant Hamburger, cooks up one delicious Bacon Cheeseburger. Usually a late night meal but more often a quick diner feel lunch, I eat a Bacon Cheeseburger from Nation’s whenever I am back home. Now that I am living in Costa Rica, however, a delicious juicy, mouth-watering, smelling good, fresh-off-the-grill burger is hard to come by. So I have had to take matters into my own kitchen!

This burger is not complicated at all. Simple, fresh ingredients are the key to making this successful. Follow the recipe for a fantastic Nation’s Bacon Cheeseburger at home tonight!

Grilled Vegan Bean Burger

Sorry but I had to bite into this burger. I mean look at it. Doesn’t it look good? Imagine it just came off the charcoal grill and smells delicious. Could you wait to take a bite?

And yes, you read the title correctly. This is a Vegan Bean Burger. Bean burger. I know.

I had an all out Vegan BBQ for one of the NBA final games. Seitan ribs, baked beans, vegan pasta salad, and these burgers. All Vegan. It was quite interesting but great with all the different flavors and textures.

Delicious Rating: This is an easy recipe that can be cooked ahead of time if you wish. If you love to grill and you are looking for a vegan/vegetarian burger, try this. You certainly wouldn’t be missing the real thing. Grilling infuses the great charcoal taste that I love into the bean patty and it has a nice crisp exterior while the inside is a bit beany. The taste is great but the texture gets a bit ‘mashed bean’ halfway through. I think next time I will make them a little thinner and possibly add some wheat gluten to it for more texture. Other than that, these Vegan burgers are a go. I definitely recommend them to any vegan, vegetarian, or one looking for a different meat alternative.
