Potatoes are more than just a starchy tuber. They are delicious starchy tubers! Okay, really, they are great. French fries, mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, smashed potatoes, potato boats, potatoes au gratin, potato salad, and I am sure there are a lot more potato recipes that I can’t think of right now. My dear husband loves potatoes in curry. They soak up all the curry sauce and taste great. I love to cook potato boats because you can really load them up on way more cheese than they give you at the restaurants and add a super great amount of bacon too!

Warm one-dish-meals are perfect for a busy winter day. Like a pot-pie, a vegetable cobbler creates a warm comfort food. I love biscuits and I love veggies, so why not put them together with a decadent sauce…and eat on the couch…

This is a vegetarian dish. You can make it vegan by swapping out the butter with vegan margarine. I used seitan and it was a great addition but not needed. If you want meat meat, please feel free to add it in. Just want the veggies? It will taste delicious as well!

Delicious Rating: Delicious, Delicious, Delicious. I will definitely make this a lot more in the future. No changes necessary for me. The vegetables stand out on their own and meld deliciously in the creamy sauce. The biscuit is divine. Crunchy crust with a soft warm inside…My mouth is seriously salivating writing this. This easy recipe has a lot of steps but is worth the wait.

Olive & Sun-Dried Tomato Potatoes

Potatoes are a perfect Side Dish to any main entree. They are so versatile and combine with so many different flavors, vcialis 40mg there is no end to potato recipes! This easy recipe calls for the salty depth of black olives and richness of sun-dried tomatoes. Add in some fresh rosemary and Oh My! You have got something delicious on your hands! This recipe is great for a vegan menu, story vegetarian menu, or even a gluten-free menu!

Delicious Rating: These are super easy to make. I was able to cook this up with all ingredients being on hand at home. My DH said these were the best potatoes he ever had. I heated up the leftovers and we had them with breakfast the next day. The potatoes have a nice outer crispiness and super softness inside. Please let me know what you think of this recipe!

Roasted Garlic & Potato Soup

Potatoes are so versatile. As Samwise Gamgee would say, you can “Boil ’em, Mash ’em, Stick ’em in a stew.” Wise words Samwise, wise words indeed. I like to keep potatoes on hand in the house all the time. I usually end up making breakfast potatoes with them when they start to grow eyes. I had some left over the other day and decided to make a potato soup, why not? My DH loves soup and what could possibly go wrong?

Delicious Rating: Roasting the garlic takes a minute so you could always short cut it by using roasted garlic sold in a jar. I found this soup to be Okay, nothing more or less. It just didn’t do it for me. It was a bit starchy from the potatoes and the garlic was more of a background flavor although I used a full head. I don’t think I will make this soup recipe again, it just didn’t have that Delicious factor that I want out of my food. However, my DH did enjoy it and preferred it cold. You may also favor it so give this easy recipe a try and let me know what you think!

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

 Do perfect mashed potatoes exist? Many times I had thought that they were here, in my kitchen, ready to be eaten, only to find that they were less than worthy to be called perfect.

Plus, there are so many types of mashed potatoes, everyone has different preferences. Skin on, w/out skin, chunky or smooth, garlic or creamy. I am sure there are a lot more types. For me, I love a smooth creamy mashed potato. You can throw some garlic in there if you’d like.

This easy recipe is as good as Garlic Mashed Potatoes get. It is the perfect accompaniment to any dish and really tastes delicious!

Delicious Rating: Home cooks can master a great mashed potato recipe, so this is for you! The garlic flavor is not too strong nor too mild but just enough so as not to overwhelm the meal.
