This is a tour of my kitchen. Usually when I move internationally, my whole kitchen changes. I have to say good-bye to all my things and hello to all new things. I have done that four times. I used to like it but now I am loving my current kitchen. I don’t want to say good-bye to it so I hope I won’t have to.
This is my favorite pot. I just love to cook with my Orange Le Creuset. It is a 4 1/2 QT.
For bigger jobs, I use my 7 1/4 QT. It deep fries things really well.
I have a glass top stove. It can boil a pot of water in 60 seconds. I prefer gas but it is not common in our part of Costa Rica, so glass is the next best thing!
I couldn’t bake as much as I do without my trusty KitchenAid Mixer. It saves a lot of time and beckons me to make cookie dough for my Dear Hubby.

I bake those cookies on my Silpat, if you bake a lot please invest in one, it will change your life. Use a thin cookie spatula too.
Measuring things out is a breeze too with these cute orange cups & spoons. Can you guess my color scheme yet?
It used to be red for like the last few years but I wanted to re-brighten and re-cheer up the kitchen. Orange has a way of making people smile, I think. I hope! I smile in the kitchen but maybe it is just the food.
I am just getting into decorating cakes and things so I think my Piper may be a bit bit beginner but it works for me. My roller is perfect too for apple pie crusts and stuff. Almost all of my bakeware can fit in a large storage drawer under the oven.

The Garbage Bowl idea of Rachael Ray’s is like the smartest thing. The bowls have this grip at the bottom so they don’t move. Perfect while chopping and preparing meals but it also doubles as a salad bowl or mixing bowl, fruit bowl…whatever you want. It is the perfect kitchen tool.
My knife set is pretty sharp too, you can’t live without a sharp chef’s knife, well, at least I can’t. I use an immersion blender for all my blending needs, just a good as a blenderblender I think. It has a 4 cup food processor too, which is perfect for pico de gallo.
There are two designated drawers of other kitchen tools and gadgets, make it 3 if you count the silverware drawer. The ‘used almost everyday or meal’ utensils are kept on the counter in a bright orange crock (smile).
It has this super-nifty ladle with a straight edge to really clean the bottom of the pot out. Love it!
So that is pretty much my kitchen when it comes to cooking. My other pots and pans are all orange too it you were wondering. And yes, so is my toaster but it has white on it. I couldn’t find an all orange toaster, have you seen one? I use a rice cooker for rice. The fridge is covered with cute cards from my sister and magnets from different travels. Also quotes that make me smile. And meal planners and old Dove chocolate wrappers.
If you ever have a question about what I am using to cook or how I executed a recipe please leave a comment or shoot me an email! I would love to hear from you! Most of my photos are taken with a Nikon D40 with some sort of Macro Lens. Some of the recipes were shot with a Canon PowerShot SX230. The light is so much better during the day to take pictures of food in. I always end up baking at night though so if my photos look a bit odd…well, let’s just say I am learning my camera!
My kitchen walls are orange too.
