Cook Eat Delicious!

Thai

Strongly aromatic, Thai Cuisine is popular all over the world. Hot & Spicy and super delicious. My favorite Thai place has to be in Daly City. Oh man, everything is so good and they aren’t stingy with the spice, which I love! I always order some angel wings, yellow curry, and mango and sticky rice. Since we don’t get to be in the Bay Area as much as I would like to be there to eat, I have learned some Thai recipes to cook at home! Let me know your favorite Thai recipe so I can add them to my repertoire.

Vegan Pad Thai

Peanuts are a tricky thing for me. I love Peanut Butter & Jam sandwiches. I love Peanut Butter Cookies. But when peanuts enter into the savory realm, I am not too sure about it.

For that reason I have never been fond of Pad Thai. Who wants noodles with peanuts? My DH. So since I have been on this Vegan kick, I decided to cook up some Vegan Pad Thai. Maybe this time I would enjoy it?

Delicious Rating: Nope, I didn’t enjoy it. The rating is strictly mine, as my DH thoroughly enjoyed this Pad Thai. Of course he did mention that it was different from his usually Thai restaurant fare but it was delicious at home! I had to laugh at that one. This isn’t an easy recipe, it seemed like a lot of work went into making this dish so I doubt I will make this again. Let me know where you like your favorite Pad Thai dish!

Thai Drunken Noodles

No, you will not get drunk from eating these delicious noodles. However, you may have to drink a lot to get the hot spiciness out of your mouth! If you love Thai food and Thai spice than this Thai Noodle Recipe is for you.

It combines the fried tofu, veggies, a spicy sauce with the very versatile rice noodle. The dish comes together so well you will want to make it every week for dinner. The next the spice seemed to have settle down while the flavor was more enriched. Give this delicious easy recipe a try for something new in your home!

Delicious Rating: If you own a wok, it will definitely come in handy. If not, no problem a large fry pan will do. Break your dried rice noodle to length you prefer before cooking, otherwise you will end up with some very long noodles! My DH and I devoured this for lunch one day. It is a healthy dish full of veggies and protein from the tofu. Let me know how it compares to your favorite Thai Drunken Noodles!

“Mellow Yellow” Thai Curry

When we were dating, my DH & I used to a great Thai place on Market in San Francisco. Unfortunately, they changed management throughout the years and the food just wasn’t the same. When we moved here to Mexico, well let’s just say that we were missing any type of Thai food. So we took it upon ourselves to make Thai at home, Curry more specifically. DH makes some deliciously HOT curry. We end up a ball of sweat by the time we finish one bowl! So when I make some Thai Curry it brings out the curry flavor that I love, especially in a yellow curry. “Mellow Yellow” is what I like to call it. I decided to enter it into my 1st ever food blog event! It is called “House Favorites: Vegan” hosted by Chez Cayenne. I am so excited to enter my “Mellow Yellow Thai Curry” because it has been a House Favorite going on two years now! Plus it is vegan. We actually never realized it until recently that most of the dishes I cook are vegan!

Delicious Rating: If you love Yellow Thai Curry you will definitely find this easy recipe to be delicious. It is easy for any home cook to make and as I said above it is a House Favorite in our home. Change it up with different veggies if you would like or make hotter by adding more curry paste or curry powder. I cook the potatoes separately because I don’t care for them buy my DH loves them in curry. You decide and comment on how it turns out for you.

Spicy Basil Thai Pasta

Thai is one of my favorite foods. The spice is unlike any other, spicy but with a lot of flavor. Thai pasta doesn’t require a lot of sauce which I like. This pasta is a very easy recipe to make as long as you boil the noodles right! Any extra time may make them mushy. It is a nice way to spice up the dinner table during the week.

Delicious Rating: Once again it is a cinch to cook and delicious to eat! Try it and let me know what you think.
