Tangy and Sweet Coleslaw

Coleslaw is a great addition to a variety of meals. I love a good coleslaw that has an easy recipe and not overly creamy from mayonnaise. This is my go to recipe for coleslaw when I need and easy salad for a gathering or picnic. It is also a great recipe to go with barbecue. I cooked up this coleslaw to go with a some Kansas Pulled Pork Sandwich, a delicious combination!
Delicious Rating: Simple and delicious. With only five ingredients, this coleslaw is easy to make but packs a lot of flavor. The tangy comes from the vinegar and the sweet from the sugar. It is balanced and still creamy without being overloaded.

Red Cabbage Coleslaw

Who likes KFC’s coleslaw? Hands? I am not going to lie, I like it. And their mashed potatoes too but that is another food post.

Coleslaw is the perfect side dish for a BBQ. It also is great for pulled pork sandwiches…yum. It is a super easy recipe to cook up, making it quick and painless.

Delicious Rating: This Coleslaw recipe is delicious. I couldn’t stop eating it, literally, my DH had to pull me away from the bowl. He said it was totally KFC’s coleslaw but with red cabbage. It tasted similar but just a thousand times better. Let me know your favorite coleslaw recipe!

Vegan Pasta Salad

I don’t like pasta salad. I never put it on my plate at the BBQ party or in a buffet line. I mean whose to know what the creamy sauce is really made up of…old warm mayo always comes to my mind! When I had my Vegan Barbecue I was really having a difficult time wrapping my head around the idea of tofu-potato salad. But then it occurred to me to make a tofu-pasta salad. I mean, I never know what the sauce of a pasta salad is made of anyways.

Delicious Rating: This pasta was an easy recipe to cook up and tastes great! I really liked the spice from the cayenne pepper, it wasn’t dominate but you could definitely feel the kick! This is the perfect Vegan BBQ Side dish and is a keeper in my home!

New Classic Potato Salad

You can’t have barbecue without Potato Salad. I love just a basic creamy potato salad, nothing fancy. Every now and then I do change it up to give Classic Potato Salad a nice twist. This recipe is a twist on Classic Potato Salad. I usually add Blue Cheese (totally delicious) but omitted this time around for the sake of my DH. If you do decide to add Blue Cheese do so according to your tastes and fold in at the end of the recipe. The cheese goes perfect with the bacon, adding such a rich flavor to the potato salad!

Delicious Rating: This is a potato salad is an easy recipe for the beginner, no crazy steps or culinary processes. It is by far my favorite potato salad recipe, seriously delicious. I make it anytime there is a BBQ and baked beans. I just love how the baked bean sauce touches the potato salad…yummy combination!
