Penne

Penne is a cylinder shaped piece of pasta perfect of holding in thick meaty sauces, or hearty vegetable ones! I love to use penne pasta in a pasta bake. They are perfect for thick sauces and a lot of cheese! Plus, once baked, they cut up into the perfect portions, good for families or gatherings of friends. Penne Pasta is also good for cold pasta salads at a picnic. What type of recipes do you use penne pasta in? Cream sauce or a tomato based one? I also love using penne pasta in an Italian sausage tomato sauce. The pasta soaks up all the spicy deliciousness.

Parsley Parmesan Lemon Pasta

Simple and easy recipes are my type of thing, especially after a long day of activities. And there is nothing better than a good bowl of pasta at the end of the day. Or for breakfast…or for lunch too! I think I just love pasta and this recipe is on top of my list!

Delicious Rating: This pasta is light and refreshing. Almost all of the ingredients you probably have right now in your kitchen. Just throw it all together and voila! You have got yourself a complete meal, just add a side salad and maybe some bread and you are good to go. You can even add more veggies or herbs so let me know your favorite toss up pasta.

Vegan Peanut Penne Pasta


Pasta dishes can sometimes be complicated while others super simple. This Penne Pasta Recipe literally has dinner on the table in less than 20 minutes. I was really impressed with how easy everything was and how delicious it turned out. Almost all the ingredients I had on hand at home and so I just decided to whip something up real quick.

Delicious Rating: I rated this easy to cook, delicious to eat, and a definite on cooking again. Use different veggies if you prefer but the carrot and broccoli combo is great. Less spice for children. We had some leftovers and it was important that I add some more soy milk to the pasta when I reheated it for a smooth texture of the sauce. Vegan Penne Olive & Artichoke Hearts

 A fresh tomato sauce always gives pasta something extra. You can dress up or down the flavors and cooking homemade pasta sauce is so easy! I use to be addicted to Prego, that was all I needed with some pasta…I guess I have grown in what I like in pasta and what I think is delicious!

This vegan recipe features olives and artichoke hearts, a very yummy combination. I always make this at home as my pasta go-to-dish. It is reliable in taste & time. While the sauce is simmering, you can boil up the pasta. Feel free to add extra veggies too. Because this is one of my regular pasta dinners, I am entering it in “House Favorites: Vegan” hosted by Chez Cayenne.

Delicious Rating: Super easy recipe to cook and the taste is delicious. If you like more wine, please add more. I love the artichoke hearts with this sauce. They fall apart while simmering and you have a piece in every bite. I also add corn to this recipe and you may omit if you’d like. I add corn to almost every red sauce pasta I make, something about the little yellow kernel, I just love corn! This is a delicious house favorite and if you give it a try please let me know how it turned out!
