Mac & Cheese

Macaroni and Cheese…can you say comfort food? I like to cook up different kinds of macaroni and cheese recipes but always fall back to my Classic Mac & Cheese! A nice cheddar with a good roux is all you need to make the perfect macaroni and cheese. Your family and guests will rave over your home cooked macaroni and cheese and want the recipe. So try our macaroni and cheese recipe. It is easy to cook and the photo instructions will guide you through what you need to do. Please let me know how it all turns out!

Jalapeno Bacon Macaroni & Cheese

I am married with no kids. It is just us two, no parents, siblings, or crazed family members with nowhere to go. Just us. But yet I always, like no fail, always make a 9×13 baking dish of macaroni and cheese. I mean, way too much for two people. I am trying to figure out why I can’t use a smaller baking dish. I think it is my love for pasta. I always think I will need more. Then there is cheese…you can’t have enough of cheese, I mean come on! Butter needs no explanation and as for anything spicy or made with bacon, well, now I see why I can’t cut how much I bake nor eat!

In all seriousness though, I love macaroni and cheese. I get all excited about melty cheese. And this recipe has that melty cheese plus bacon with a kick of heat. YUM!

Delicious Rating: Once you go Jalapeno Bacon Macaroni and Cheese you never go back.  Each bite in this easy recipe leaves you wanting more. My DH and I loved it and nearly finished half the pan that night! You can control the spice with the amount of peppers you use and go crazy with the bacon if you want!

Cheesecake Factory’s Macaroni & Cheese

Some of my fondest food memories are at the Cheesecake Factory. I know many folks don’t like to eat there because of the long wait and huge menu. But I guess that is what I love about it. Waiting an hour to choose from a million things…love it. A secret of the Cheesecake Factory Menu is the Macaroni and Cheese under their side dishes. This stuff is delicious. Warm and gooey, the perfect ratio of creamy cheese and pasta. Topped with breadcrumbs and more cheese for a little textured layer on top. The side dish is large enough for an entree serving but great reheated for leftovers too.

I love cooking and eating macaroni and cheese. There is something about whisking up a roux that makes you feel like a chef! I have tried to replicate this restaurant recipe, check it out after the jump.

Classic Cheesy Mac & Cheese

When I think of Comfort Food I think of Macaroni & Cheese. The warm ooey-gooey-ness of it all makes me always go back for seconds and thirds! There are a variety of ways to make Macaroni and Cheese. The recipes can vary depending on where you are from, taste preferences, and how your mother makes it. For me, I think California really has a wide range of Mac & Cheese. I love anything with cheese and unfortunately my mother didn’t cook this for us growing up. So, with my creative cooking juices flowing, this Classic Cheesy Mac & Cheese recipe was made.

Delicious Rating: Yummy Yummy Time! If you really love a creamy and cheesy macaroni then this recipe is for you. If you don’t want baked Mac & Cheese you don’t have to bake it at all. You can cook the noodles while the sauce is being prepared and once tossed together, serve. I ate a lot right out of the pan. It is a perfect side dish or stand alone. This is by far one of the most delicious Mac and Cheese recipes I have ever cooked! Please make this easy recipe and let me know what you think!

Cheese’s Mac & Cheese

There is nothing like the warm melted cheese & pasta. It truly is a comfort food at best. The last time I made Mac & Cheese it didn’t turn out quite right. There were a lot of factors going against me: I was cooking a full turkey dinner with no help and was way behind, I used a crock pot, and I didn’t have a recipe…It was not a hit at all. So about a year later I decided to try it again, this time using a combination of white cheeses and ditching the crock pot.

Delicious Rating: Cooking was easy enough for anybody to follow, no complicated steps at all in this easy recipe. Eating was okay. I say this because maybe I like the traditional Mac & Cheese…even loving the Kraft box now & then! The combo of Gruyere, Brie, and white cheddar seemed to rich. Also the addition of thyme was very strong for my liking. If I made it again I would omit the thyme and replace the White Cheddar with a regular sharp orange cheddar cheese. Overall, I doubt I would try this recipe again. I got all excited about eating warm Mac & Cheese on the couch for nothing! Try it for yourself and let me know what you think.
