Pulled Pork

No matter how you cook your pulled pork, whether in the oven, smoker, grill, slow cooker, or stove top, Pulled pork is an easy recipe to follow and cook. Usually made with the shoulder or butt of the pig, it is cooked for numerous hour on low heat and easily shredded. Pulled pork is cooked and served differently depending on the country or region you are in. It can be made sweet with pineapple, spicy, or full of barbecue flavor. I love to serve pulled pork on a stiff bun with coleslaw or potato salad.

Kansas Pulled Pork


Last month I put up a recipe for Hawaiian Pulled Pork that is one of many of the different easy pulled pork recipes I have been cooking. This Kansas Pulled Pork recipe is my favorite one yet. I love pulled pork because you don’t really have to do anything to cook up a delicious meal. Just season the pork, put it over some heat, and let it cook for a few hours. Easy & Simple.

Delicious Rating: This is some delicious pork! The seasoning is spot on to give it a deep smoky flavor with a little bit of spice. I cook mine in a dutch oven on the stove and it turns out succulent every time. I serve it on a bun with some Red Cabbage Cole Slaw…or eat out of the pot with a fork, still good!

Hawaiian Pulled Pork

My DH and I got on this whole Pulled Pork addiction and I was cooking up different types of pulled pork for a couple of weeks. Those were some good meals and easy recipes to make for lunch or dinner. This is one of the recipes I cooked. I wanted a sweet savory pork that was juicy with a little bit of spice. Pineapple! Pineapple is the perfect sweet fruit that pairs perfectly with a little spice and pork.

Delicious Rating: You will love this recipe, you definitely have to try this. Of course, it is one of my favorite on pot dishes; just throw all the ingredients in the pot and cook for a few hours. I served it with some potato salad but any side would be good. The pork shreds so easily once cooked for a few hours and soaks up all the juice which means plenty of flavor inside. I used some red pepper flakes for a little spice but if you eliminate them the pork will still taste great.
