Baked Pork Chops & Apples

Share

Sometimes people get all weirded out when they hear or see that pork chops are paired with apples. What’s the problem?! I mean these two are meant to be with each other. The tart sweetness of the apple on top of the juicy seasoned pork chop…I don’t know about you but I love it! I paired these pork chops and apples with some Spicy Thyme & Rosemary Bread and Hasselback Potatoes. It was the perfect meal on a cool night to have the oven on!

Delicious Rating: The steam from the apples cook the pork chops to create a juicy piece of white meat. Oh, I am salivating as I type this now. I love how food can create emotions and more hunger when you’re not near hungry! This is an easy recipe that can be placed in the oven and forgotten about while it bakes. Use with smaller thicker chops if you would like and just bake for some more time. Let me know in the comments if you like your pork chops with apples!

Filipino Chicken Adobo

Share

One of my favorite Filipino dishes is Chicken Adobo. A simple dish that goes with rice and tastes delicious. This easy recipes is a must when I go home and meet up with the family. Slow cooked with the chicken falling off the bone…oh man! My mouth is watering right now!

Delicious Rating: Hello food goodness! For me chicken adobo is almost like a comfort food that I could eat while snuggled in a blanket on the couch watching a movie. All the flavors meld so well to give it such a delicious flavor and the chicken is so tender, decease juicy, price and falls right off the bone. The brown sugar cuts the vinegar and also thickens up the sauce while the bay leaves add that hint of herbs on the palate. Serve over rice for a different dinner recipe that your family is sure to enjoy!

Chicken Parmigiana

Share

Who can resist pasta, meat, sauce, and cheese? I know I can’t and that is why I love a good Chicken Parmigiana. There are many ways to make Chicken Parmigiana and some recipes call for the frying method. If I don’t have to fry I won’t. This is a baked recipe and works out great to cut some fat and I can also prepare a salad or the pasta while the chicken is baking. Which makes it an easy recipe for me and my kitchen!

Delicious Rating: Great dinner for any day of the week. It is simple enough for kids but loaded with flavor for adults. I used my Homemade Marinara Sauce recipe for this but you can use your favorite red pasta sauce too. Serve with a salad and bread for a complete meal.

Meatloaf

Share

What is your favorite Meatloaf Recipe? There are so many types of meatloaf, so many ways to prepare and cook it. I just started getting into meatloaf this past year. It was never cooked growing up at home and I always shied away from it at gatherings, the cornflakes scared me off! But now I am quite enjoying this loaf of meat thing. It is a super easy meal, provided you have some quick sides.

Delicious Rating: This recipe is super easy to prepare. Just mix together all the ingredients with your hands, place in a loaf pan, and voila! Meatloaf is created. I love that this was super moist and so flavorful from the three meats, spinach, spices & herbs. You can make the mixture ahead of time and freeze in a throwaway loaf pan and bake at a future time. I don’t have a lot of ideas for meatloaf, how do you usually prepare it? What do you serve it with?
