Apple

Apples are such a versatile fruit for all types of recipes. Whether you are looking for a sweet Apple Dessert Recipe or a savory Apple Side Dish, we have got you covered. From Pies, Breads, Dinner Sides, to sauces, find your Easy Apple Recipes here. Apple pie a la mode is one of my favorite desserts. I also enjoy apples with pork chops, as the combination is perfect for the savory dish. I add shredded apples to my oatmeal and love to eat dried apple chips. How do you prefer to eat an apple? Just like it is, as an apple?

Apple Pie with Crumb Topping

Um…drool?! Like seriously, I don’t know if I should say anything about this perfect apple pie with crumb topping. This is an easy recipe when you are craving apple pie, which is usually almost every other day for me. I usually like a lattice top to get that double crust (I love pie crust) but every now and then I need a good crumb topping. It adds extra sweet and crunch and yumminess that I sometimes just eat all by itself…before it is even baked!

Okay, enough about my horrible greediness for sweets.

Delicious Rating: Bake this tonight, you won’t regret it! I put the crumble on the pie when it first goes in the oven not halfway through. It gets a nice crispy crumble that I love. Also, be sure not to go over with the butter. I find that is the mistake with crumbles that are too soft or break up easily and get lost int the pie. You can use this topping for an apple crisp for greatness as well. Let me know in the comments if you prefer an extra top pie crust or a crumb topping!

Baked Pork Chops & Apples

Sometimes people get all weirded out when they hear or see that pork chops are paired with apples. What’s the problem?! I mean these two are meant to be with each other. The tart sweetness of the apple on top of the juicy seasoned pork chop…I don’t know about you but I love it! I paired these pork chops and apples with some Spicy Thyme & Rosemary Bread and Hasselback Potatoes. It was the perfect meal on a cool night to have the oven on!

Delicious Rating: The steam from the apples cook the pork chops to create a juicy piece of white meat. Oh, I am salivating as I type this now. I love how food can create emotions and more hunger when you’re not near hungry! This is an easy recipe that can be placed in the oven and forgotten about while it bakes. Use with smaller thicker chops if you would like and just bake for some more time. Let me know in the comments if you like your pork chops with apples!

Deliciously Perfect Apple Pie & Crust

You know that deep dish apple pie that Costco sells? I usually daydream about it at least twice a day, seriously. It is so perfect. Plenty of soft apples spiced up just right inside of a thick flaky crust, the perfect apple pie. Last time we were home I bought one for dinner, my dinner, with a tub of vanilla bean ice cream. It was the perfect dinner, dessert, and breakfast the next day. And no, I didn’t share if you were wondering.
So my apple pie craving has come to Costa Rica and I just had to have it out last night. I was feeling lazy but knew that an apple pie wasn’t going to bake itself so I put on a good TV show and started.

Delicious Rating: First the crust. Very simple with a food processor and by far the best pie crust I have ever eaten in my life, no joke. It is flaky, soft, crusty, and tastes amazing on its own which I think a pie crust should be able to do. The Apple Pie filling is delicious to in this easy recipe. I cut the apples up thinly and tossed with a few ingredients. Let them sit while I rolled out the crusts so that all the juices could flow. I didn’t add all the juice to the pie so that it wouldn’t be overly soggy. It was perfect. I am thinking another tomorrow…

Vanilla Cinnamon Apple Sticky Buns

OH.
MY.
GOODNESS.

These Sticky Buns are a delicious combination of warm dough, cinnamon, caramel apple goodness, and a deep vanilla flavor. What could be better than that? The best thing about these Vanilla Cinnamon Apple Sticky Buns (besides the long name) is the easy recipe used to bake them up. In two hours max you can have two pans of these ooey gooey sticky buns on the table…

The secret to these Sticky Buns turning out so well is the Vanilla. I used the Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Bean Paste. This Vanilla is to die for and perfect for baking. It adds in so much more vanilla flavor without overpowering it like some extracts can do. Want a bottle for yourself? The folks over at Nielsen-Massey are giving away a bottle to one reader on CookEatDelicious.com. Stay tuned for the giveaway this Monday!

Delicious Rating: Delicious all the way. Not super sweet but sweet enough. The bun dough is soft and moist, perfect for a cinnamon roll recipe too! I will definitely make these Vanilla Cinnamon Apple Sticky Buns again. I served them with a Cream Cheese Frosting, which was great to eat by itself as well. You don’t need the frosting if you want to stick to the traditional sticky buns but it does add another dimension of flavor and option to the dish.
