Cook Eat Delicious!

Filipino

Philippine Cuisine is delicious and part of my heritage. Growing up eating Adobo, Pancit, Lumpia, and Bibingka Malagkit brings back great memories and when I cook these dishes at home, they taste better each time. If you are looking for good easy Asian recipes than these are for you. Most of the Filipino cuisine is simple and easy to cook, whereas some recipes have many steps and make take hours to prepare and cook. You can find most ingredients needed at your nearby Asian market. Take a look at some of my favorite Filipino Food Recipes that taste delicious here.

Filipino Chicken Adobo

One of my favorite Filipino dishes is Chicken Adobo. A simple dish that goes with rice and tastes delicious. This easy recipes is a must when I go home and meet up with the family. Slow cooked with the chicken falling off the bone…oh man! My mouth is watering right now!

Delicious Rating: Hello food goodness! For me chicken adobo is almost like a comfort food that I could eat while snuggled in a blanket on the couch watching a movie. All the flavors meld so well to give it such a delicious flavor and the chicken is so tender, juicy, and falls right off the bone. The brown sugar cuts the vinegar and also thickens up the sauce while the bay leaves add that hint of herbs on the palate. Serve over rice for a different dinner recipe that your family is sure to enjoy!

Bibingka Malagkit

babingka malagkit

So simple and yet so delicious to satisfy that sweet tooth craving. Bibingka, or as I like to call it “Balokbakba”, is a Filipino sweet cake. The varieties are endless using so many types of ingredients. Add Malagkit, sweet sticky rice, to the equation and you now have a sweet rice cake-Bibingka Malagkit.

Usually my craving for something sweet hits head on around 7pm but I never feel like waiting for the rice to cook or/and having to bake it so I save it for another day. This time however, I wised up and made it for lunch, that way it would be ready for the evening attack. There are many different ways to make this Filipino dessert, so I accredit this great recipe to my sister!

Delicious Rating: Easy recipe to make & bake & clean-up is a breeze. It is Delicious through and through. Seriously, I wish one of the tiers on my wedding was Babingka! It is that good. Simply Delicious…
